About JP Flores

JP Flores is an instrumental guitarist, composer, and recording artist from the west coast of the United States.

His music is rooted in progressive metal, with the guitar serving as the lead voice—carrying melodies and emotion in place of vocals. The sound is heavy—sometimes brutal—with memorable hooks, technical riffs, and layered arrangements shaped around his expressive lead playing.

As a multi-instrumentalist and independent recording artist, JP writes, records, and produces his own music from his Seattle-area studio. Drawing inspiration from melodic death metal, traditional heavy metal, post-punk, and guitar-driven rock, he approaches every project as a songwriter first, focusing on melody, harmony, arrangement, and the role each part plays in the larger composition.
